How To: Exclude File Types from Encryption in Titan SFTP

Question

Can I restrict certain file types from being encrypted with PGP in Titan SFTP ?

Reasoning

To protect your data in Titan SFTP, you can encrypt any uploaded files, however, you want to ensure you are not using server resources if not needed while keeping your data secure.

Answer

You can configure which file extensions do not get encrypted by PGP. You can configure this by adding different file types, so Titan MFT ignores them saving you time and resources.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Security section and click on the PGP tab.
  2. Add file extensions you do not want to get encrypted when uploaded as seen in below example. Type the file extension and hit enter to add.
