Error After Upgrade: Unable to Initialize: Could not load file or assembly
Question
After I upgraded WebDrive to the most recent version, I now get an error that WebDrive could not load a file or assembly. My sites do not connect. What can I do?
Answer
Please ensure sites are disconnected at time of update/upgrade, and at any time you restart your computer. This is the most common cause in this case and resolution can be found by following these steps:

If not yet upgraded to WebDrive 1.1.15 or later, follow these steps:
- Disconnect all connected sites in WebDrive.
- Upgrade to 1.1.15 or later version.
- Connect the sites as usual
- If WebDrive is already in a problematic state, follow these steps:
- Disconnect any connected sites in WebDrive.
- Uninstall current version and choose to keep the existing sites (prompt during Uninstall process).
- Restart your computer.
- Reinstall 1.1.15 or later of WebDrive
- If desired, restart the computer. Otherwise, connect the sites and use as usual.
